(Undated)– Areas of northwest Iowa remain in extreme drought according the latest drought monitor data that was released late last week. It shows most of Plymouth, Woodbury and western Ida counties listed in that category. The latest report shows severe drought conditions in southern Sioux, southern O’Brien, southern Clay and southwestern Palo Alto county. A large part of Buena Vista county is also included in the severe drought category.
The report shows abnormally dry conditions in southern Osceola, southwestern and southeastern Dickinson county along with most of Emmet county.
The report says that as of last Thursday, drought conditions were non-existent in northern Dickinson and Osceola counties.
