(Sioux Center)– A Spirit Lake woman and a passenger in her vehicle were injured in a two vehicle collision Friday in Sioux county.
Authorities say 19-year-old Chloe Spooner of Spirit Lake was driving a 2019 Honda Accord northbound on Highway 75 at the intersection with 360th Street about two miles north of Sioux Center. Deputies say 23-year-old Kailee Jenness, also of Spirit Lake, was driving a 2007 Toyota Camry, also northbound, behind Spooner. Authorities say the vehicle driven by Jenness collided with the rear of the one driven by Spooner, who had slowed for some stopped vehicles ahead of her.
Spooner and a passenger in her vehicle were taken by ambulance to a Sioux Center hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Jenness was cited for following too closely.
