Natural Gas Leak Makes For Some Tense Moments In Wahpeton

(Wahpeton)– A natural gas leak made for some tense moments Thursday evening in Wahpeton. Authorities say a gas line was accidentally struck in the area of Lakeside Avenue. The Milford Fire Department and emergency crews responded to the scene and stood by well into the evening as a precaution, while crews with Black Hills Energy capped off the broken line. Several nearby streets were also cordoned off as a precaution. No injuries were reported. Crews were on the scene several hours. Authorities say the line was repaired without any further incident.
