July 20, 2022 Steve Schwaller

(Sioux City)– A Spencer man has pled guilty to a federal drug charge. The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Iowa says 35-year-old Kenneth Block pled guilty Tuesday to a charge of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine.

Block admitted that from February 2021 through September, 2021, he and others distributed at least 2.5 kilograms of meth in the Spencer area. Court information also states that on September 29th, 2021, Block was found with about 170 grams of ice methamphetamine after a consent search of his vehicle.

Sentencing is pending completion of a pre-sentence report.

The case was investigated by the Spencer Police Department and the Iowa DCI Laboratory.
