(Spirit Lake)– Lakes Regional Healthcare is a recipient of a 2022 Outstanding Patient Experience Award.
The award is through an organization called Healthgrades. It’s based on an analysis of 3,173 hospitals that submitted at least 75 patient experience surveys to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services for admissions between July 2020 and March 2021. Hospitals receiving the recognition represent the top 15 percent of hospitals in the U.S for patient experience.
12 hospitals in Iowa received the recognition. Orange City Area Health System was the only other facility in northwest Iowa that received the honor.
