(Wallingford)– Fire late Tuesday afternoon heavily damaged a machine shed near Wallingford. Upon arriving firefighters found heavy smoke coming from the building and a mower engulfed in flames, which had spread to the interior walls and framework both inside and outside the building. The Estherville, Gruver and Ringsted Fire Departments were called for mutual assistance. The fire was quickly knocked down and the building was ventilated.
An ambulance and EMT’s stood by as a precaution due to the extreme heat and humidity.
Firefighters were on the scene about an hour and-a-half.
