(Spirit Lake)– ISU Extension and Outreach Dickinson County is looking for some businesses who would be willing to help out with an event at this year’s Dickinson County Fair. Clayton Sorum, a summer assistant at the office, says they’re in need of some large trucks for their “Touch a Truck” event…
“So businesses that are interested, you know, we’re looking for opportunities for youth to be exposed to either the large agricultural equipment to, you know, medical equipment, fire trucks, anything you can kind of think of. So we’re looking to partner with businesses that would be willing to lend those vehicles. That’s Saturday, July 16th, from 4:00 until 8:00 pm here at the fairgrounds once again. Semi trucks, just any large piece of ag equipment. You know we are offering the opportunity that if someone from your company or your business would like to be there explaining stuff to, stuff about the equipment to the youth, that would be perfect as well. And then those that do donate and partner with us for that event, we’re allowing you to put up a sign as well kind of giving you that advertising opportunity.”
