(Wahpeton)– Wahpeton residents are being requested to conserve water when possible. City officials today (Wednesday) issued a “water watch”, citing a chapter in city code that allows such a designation. In a statement, the city says “all customers of the city water supply are encouraged to limit all non-essential uses of water between the hours of 8:00 am and 8:00 pm.” They add the advisory is being issued in anticipation of the upcoming busy weekend in the Iowa Great Lakes.
City officials are also reminding residents that fireworks are NOT allowed within Wahpeton city limits.
