(Spencer)– A motorcycle accident Monday evening on the south side of Spencer sent one person to the hospital.
Authorities say 57-year-old Kip Ireland of Humboldt was westbound on 11th Street Southeast when he lost control of the motorcycle after hitting a bump. Ireland, who was not wearing a helmet, was ejected from the motorcycle and struck his head. He sustained what was believed to be minor injuries and was taken to Spencer Hospital.
The mishap took place around 7:45 pm.
