(Okoboji)-A couple of special workshops are on tap Pearson Lakes Art Center this week. KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:
Pearson Lakes Art Center is offering two all ages workshops prior to the 4th of July holiday weekend.
Education Director Holly Zinn says the first will be a wreath making class on Thursday. “We have our annual 4th of July crafts that we have been doing for many years now. This Thursday, we will have 4th of July Wreath Making Class. We will be creating a wreath that you could pull out every year if you’d like to for the holiday. They are going to be made of different kinds of papers so, the littles could do this project as well as you could make it really intricate as an adult project.”
She adds that a tie dye class will be held on Friday. “We will be doing 4th of July tie dye tee shirts. Now, we have all of the materials that you would need for that project. White tee shirts in a variety of sizes, as well as we’ll guide you through the process of tying your shirt in many different patterns. We’ll show you lots of those and you can select one, and we’ll dye the shirt in the traditional tie dye method.”
Several session are offered for both classes.
