(Spencer)– Spencer Hospital recently received accreditation through the Center for Improvement in Healthcare Quality, a nationally accredited organization sanctioned by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, or CMS.
The accreditation process included a rigorous, unannounced onsite assessment in April of this year. It consisted of a review of medical records, care practices, interviews with patients and employees, and compliance with regulatory requirements. The hospital’s affiliated clinics were also surveyed as part of the process.
In a statement, Spencer Hospital President Bill Bumgarner thanks employees and medical staff for their professionalism and compassion, adding the region is fortunate to have “such an outstanding and caring team”.
