(Okoboji)-The Summer Speaker Series is about to get underway at Pearson Lakes Art Center. KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:
The Pearson Lakes Art Center will present their Speaker Series on Thursday evenings throughout the summer.
Visual Arts Director Danielle Clouse Gast says this year’s series will focus on famous Okoboji Photographers, starting June 23rd. “There’s a number of photographers featured this summer. We have Tom Gustafson coming up this Thursday at 7:30. I recommend arriving a bit early to get seats for that because these speaker series are very popular and they do fill up. We’re excited to have Tom tell us about his drone photography work and hear from him. He’ll be able to use the big screen so we can see what he’s been doing.”
The Series will also feature David Thoreson July 7, Rylan Howe on July 28 and Lloyd Cunningham on August 25. The presentations will start at 7:30 pm in the Lauridsen Performing Arts Theatre. Admission is free.
