(Bergen, Mn.)- A crash involving a semi Tuesday morning near Bergen resulted in a small spill of some biodiesel. The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office says Jeff Penning of Clear Lake, Iowa, was westbound on County Road 30 approaching Hwy 71 in a semi hauling biodiesel when it slid into the north ditch and overturned. Penning sustained no injuries, but there was moderate damage to the semi tractor and trailer. A small amount of the biodiesel also leaked into the ditch.
The road was closed for roughly seven hours while three tow trucks worked to bring the semi back onto its tires.
The Windom Fire Dept, Windom Ambulance, Jackson Fire Dept, and Jackson County Public Works all assisted at the scene.
