(Milford)– The future of Milford’s airport will be a topic of discussion at this (Monday’s) evening’s city council meeting. The group “Spirit of Okoboji”, led by businessman Tim Kinnetz, will address the council regarding their offer on the airport. The group is proposing a development on the northwest side of Milford that would include housing, an expansion of a nearby park, an indoor athletic and entertainment complex, along with other amenities. They say the airport property lies within the area they want to develop, and the project won’t be possible as long as the airport remains there.
The Milford City Council convenes at 6:30 this (Monday) evening. The meeting has been moved to the east half of the Milford Community Center to accommodate what’s expected to be a large crowd. According to a note on the agenda, those wishing to speak to the item will be limited to three minutes.
