(Okoboji)– The Iowa Environmental Council will hold their ProH20 event Thursday evening. Water Program Director Ingrid Gronstal says a portion of the event will be held in Okoboji…
“This is our ProH20 event. It’s our biggest fundraiser of the year and celebration of water quality work across the state. The main event is in Des Moines, at The River Center, but we have satellite locations in Iowa City and Okoboji for the second year in a row and I’m really excited we were at Monarch Lodge last year and I’m excited to be back up here again celebrating in Okoboji. We also have online viewings. So we really want to make this a statewide celebration.”
She notes that the evening will include special entertainment…
“Chef Suzanne is providing food. We’ll have Okoboji Wines and then some Big Grove Brewery beer. We’ll have networking time and then we’ll be livestreaming the event. We’re handing out some awards for water quality work, and then we’ll have a special concert by Susan Warner who is a Grammy winning artist and Iowa native, so we’re really excited to have her as part of the program this year.”
