(Arnolds Park)– The Okoboji Foundation has announced the recipients of its 2022 grant process. Some $418,000, the largest allocation to date, was awarded to eight non-profit organizations.
The foundation received more than $727,290 in grant requests for its 2022 grant cycle. Proceeds from endowments provided $365,000 for awards with an additional $53,000 granted by the Youth in Philanthropy initiative.
The 2022 Okoboji Foundation Leadership Grant Awards:
- $175,000 to Camp Foster/ YMCA of Okoboji’s: Camp Foster Airnasium
- $50,000 to Dickinson County Trails: Tatanka Ska Trace Phase IV(b)
- $40,000 to Historic Arnolds Park Inc.: Train Tunnel Rebuild
- $40,000 to Dickinson County Historical Society & Museum: Roof Replacement
- $39,000 to Pearson Lakes Art Center: Art Smart Children’s Interactive Gallery Renovation
- $21,000 to Iowa DNR/ Spirit Lake Fish Hatchery: Spirit Lake Fish Hatchery Wheelchair Lift
The 2022 Youth in Philanthropy Grants steered by student decision:
- $26,000 to Pearson Lakes Art Center: Art Smart Children’s Interactive Gallery Renovation
- $24,000 to Lakes Area Hockey Association: Facility Accessibility and Inclusion
- $3,000 to Okoboji Yacht Club Sailing School: Sonar Sailboat motor and motor mount
