(Arnolds Park)-An American Idol Finalist heads up the Linda Ronstadt Experience this weekend. KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:
The Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Music Association will present The Linda Ronstadt Experience on Friday evening at the Roof Garden Ballroom.
Lead singer Tristan McIntosh says, her career got a big boost from her experience on Season 16 of American Idol. “American Idol when I was 15 was quite the experience. Stressful, but I feel like I really got a good start early on in my career which is helpful.”
She adds that her band works hard to deliver the authentic sound of the classic hits. “Anything I do, especially with this project, I’m gonna try to be as close to the source as I can. Also, I just learned a lot about my own voice learning Linda Ronstadt’s music. It’s just, I am appreciative, so I wanna do a good job.”
The Linda Ronstadt Experience will take the stage at 7:30 Friday night.
