Executive Director Of Cherokee Area Economic Development Stepping Down

(Cherokee)– The Executive Director of the Cherokee Area Economic Development Corporation is stepping down. Bill Anderson announced he’s resigned to accept a position at R.J. Thomas Manufacturing in Cherokee.

Anderson served as CAED’s Executive Director since 2017. Prior to that he represented Cherokee county in the Iowa Senate.

In a statement, Anderson thanks the local officials he’s worked with the past five years.

The Cherokee Area Economic Development board is currently interviewing candidates to fill the opening.
