(Emmetsburg)– A single vehicle crash earlier this week in Palo Alto county resulted in minor injuries to a teenager. Authorities say the 17-year-old juvenile was driving a 2003 Ford Escape northbound in the 3800 block of 440th Avenue near Emmetsburg when she lost control of the vehicle while using a cell phone. The vehicle went into the ditch coming to rest on its top.
The driver was treated on the scene by paramedics and released.
She was cited for use of an electronic communication device, driving with a restricted license and failure to maintain control.
