(Arnolds Park)– The 2022 Youth In Philanthropy program of the Okoboji Foundation has concluded its run for another school year. The group raised $53,000 for this year, surpassing their goal of $41,000.
The group awarded $3,000 to the Okoboji Yacht Club Sailing Center for sonar motors; $24,000 is going to the Lakes Area Hockey Association for facility improvements and $26,000 was awarded to the Pearson Lakes Art Center to renovate it’s “art smart” project.
Since its inception in 2010, the Youth in Philanthropy program has raised $525,500 and granted a little more than $415,000 for vital capital projects in the lakes community.
