Spencer Main Street to hold Brew and Bites April 28 with Roc ‘n Guac on May 5

April 27, 2022 Becky Thoreson

(Spencer)-Spencer Main Street is holding a couple of events in the next week. KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:

Spencer Main Street is hosting a pair of strolling events in downtown Spencer.
Executive Director Nancy Naeve says, Brew and Bites will be held on Thursday evening. “This is our inaugural Brew and Bites event. It used to be called Beer Quest and Chili Fest. We’re doing it just like Wine Stroll, but we’re having delicious craft beers or local beers, and then they’re paired with a little bite. It starts at 4:30 at Iowa Project. We’ll check you in if you’ve prepaid. We’ll get you a mug and a passport, and then you will get to go to 10 different stores. We assign 8 and you get to pick 2 of your own. It puts people downtown and inside stores that maybe they haven’t been to. And then, the Iowa Project is hosting an after-party. They’ve got She’s With Us, the band, playing from 6:30 until 8:30, and then we’re going to give away 2 tickets to Roc ‘n Guac at 7:15.”
She adds that the Roc ‘n Guac event will be held on Cinco de Mayo. “It’s basically at Margarita stroll. We’re starting at Las Margaritas. You can register in advance on our facebook page or at spencermainstreet.com under the events, and when you check in at Las Margaritas starting at 4:30, you’ll get a margarita glass, you’ll get a passport, we’ll assign 8, you get to pick 2 on your own, and then Las Margaritas is having a band that night, too.”
