(Lake Park)-The Lake Park Players will perform a classic play this weekend, KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:
The Lake Park Players will present their production of On Golden Pond this weekend. Director Jon Martin says the cast includes some well-known local talent. “The lead is Norman Thayer, as most people know, and Clyde Ihrke is playing that part, and Ethel is played by Marie Matthiesen, Chelsea is Julie Baumgarn. Grant Gunderson, he’s playing the part of Charlie the Mailman, and he’s done a really good job of developing that character and is just pretty hilarious. Bill, who is Chelsea’s love interest, is played by Gregg Gunderson and Billy, Bill’s son is played by Myles Krummen.”
He notes that tickets are available in advance and at the door. “Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students. You can get them at the Savings Bank ahead of time, but we’re getting close, but you can buy them right there at the door. It’s just general admission and it’s really coming together, I hope people come and watch it.”
Performances are scheduled for Friday and Saturday nights at 7 o’clock and Sunday afternoon at 2 at the Harris-Lake Park High School Auditorium.
