(Everly)– A barn between Everly and Hartley that was being used for storage was destroyed by fire earlier this week. Firefighters were initially called to the location Monday and extinguished a fire in the roof. They were called back Tuesday after getting a report that the fire had re-kindled. The building was completely engulfed when firefighters arrived. In addition to Everly and Hartley, fire departments from Fostoria and Royal also responded.
Officials believe the fire was originally sparked by embers from a pile of nearby trees that were being burned.
The building and its contents were destroyed.
No injuries were reported.
