RAGBRAI announces more details on this year’s Ride

(Des Moines)-The Register’s Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa revealed which towns they will pass through and stop in on Sunday.

The Ride starts on July 24 in Sergeant Bluff and will travel to Ida Grove. Day 2, cyclists will ride from Ida Grove to Pocahontas. On Day 3, the ride continues to Emmetsburg. On Day 4, the trek will continue from Emmetsburg to Mason City. From there, the riders will cruise to Charles City. Day 6 will see the ride traveling to West Union, with the final leg of the ride ending in Lansing.

The 462-mile, July 24-30 ride, with 12,945 feet of climb, will be the first since 1984 to feature a 100-mile Century Day, instead of an optional added-mileage loop.
