The St. Patrick’s Association of Emmetsburg is holding their 62nd Annual Celebration through Sunday.

Committee Member Tim Renfeldt says there’s a full schedule of events on Friday. “Friday morning, we are going to have a Chamber Coffee, so that’s going to be from 9:30 to 10:30. Friday night Fish Fry is being held at the VFW, and then, we are going to have a St. Pat’s Bean Bag Tournament Friday night, warm-ups start at 5:30, the tournament itself starts at 6:30, sharp. After that we’re going to have Kayla Daniels, she’ll be playing from 9 to midnight. We’ll have The Irish Folk Band at the VFW from 7 to 10:30.”

He notes that Saturday’s festivities include the famous St. Patrick’s Day Parade. “We’re going to have The Around the Loch Scholarship Run. We’re also going to have Jeff Klatt, he’s a chainsaw artist that we’ve had the last few years, and he’s actually going to be out in front of the Fire Department with his chainsaws doing some art work that we auction off at the end of the day. The St. Patrick’s Day Parade itself is going to be all over town at about 1:30. The Gathering of the Clans is going to be held at the Fire Station. We’re going to be having a free movie, and then from 8:30 to 11:30 is The New Trick Band. We had them last year and they do a fantastic job.”
