A couple of musical events are on tap at the Clay County Regional Events Center. KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:
The Clay County Fair and Events Center will present two concerts this month.
CEO Jeremy Parsons says, William Lawson and The Roe Family Singers will appear on Friday night. “William Lawson, first of all, is a local young man. He’s 14 and he’s from Webb, Iowa, and he is really considered truly a child prodigy in terms of mandolin, guitar, banjo and dobro, to the point where he has already played on stage with people like Ricky Skaggs. He’s a local young man who’s really getting started in the music industry and we’ve paired him with The Roe Family Singers who are out of the Minneapolis area, and so if you’re a fan of bluegrass, country and Americana music, this is definitely a show for you. That will be, again, on Friday, March 18 in the Events Center Ballroom.”
He adds that the highly acclaimed Artrageous will perform on March 24. “It’s been performed 3,000 times around the world. We’re just excited to bring it to Northwest Iowa. It’s a combination of live art, a rock concert, comedy, dance, vocal performance, all just kind of mashed into one big event. It’s just an energetic performing arts show that’s really going to focus on all aspects of the arts.”
