(Milford)-There’s still time for Businesses to sign up for the Okoboji Job Fair. KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:
Okoboji High School will hold their annual Job Fair on April 8.
Principal Brian Downing says it’s a way for area students to find summer jobs. “Friday, April 8th, we’re going to have our 6th Annual Okoboji Summer Job Fair, and we have businesses from around the area that will be here, who will be looking for employees for the summer, and it connects our students with great jobs and learning experiences, and a chance for the employers to find the help they need for a great Okoboji summer. Okoboji 8th Graders through 12th Graders will be attending. We also invite all the area schools, and this year I know we’ll have some students coming from Spencer, from Harris-Lake Park, and from Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven- Ayrshire.”
He says that businesses can still sign up to participate in the fair. “Last year we had over 50 businesses. This year, we have nearly that many registered to join us, and we can still have more businesses sign up. The event is held at the Roof Garden and the Pavilion at Arnolds Park, and they do a great job. They allow us to use that space and we have plenty of room for as many businesses that want to participate.”
The Okoboji Job Fair will run from 8:30 to 12:30 on April 8.
