(Spencer)– A fire Tuesday morning resulted in the evacuation of an assisted living facility in Spencer.
Firefighters responded to Cobble Creek Assisted Living shortly after 10:00 am. Flames could be seen coming from some siding and a deck. The fire was quickly extinguished and no injuries were reported.
Residents of the facility were temporarily housed at Spencer Hospital while crews cleaned things up and checked things over. Damage was contained to the outside of the building.
It’s believed the fire was caused by careless smoking.
