The Iowa Great Lakes Chamber has announced the return of the Spring Shop Hop. KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:
The Iowa Great Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce is launching their Spring Shop Hop Campaign.
Director of Membership and Events Kylie Zankowski says the campaign encourages residents to shop locally. “We’re really excited for the return of the Spring Shop Hop again this year. Last year was our first year with this campaign, and this year we’re bringing it back in March. So, the entire month of March, from the 1st through the 31st, you can stop in to 20 different local businesses ranging from retail shops to restaurants, all sorts of a different array for you to enjoy, and you can pick up a free discount card. So, you’ll just scratch off that discount card. It will reveal 5, 10 or 15 percent off, and you can use it all month long at every single business. So, one time at every single retailer the month of March, and it’s just a great way to get people in the doors of our local businesses.”
She notes that the Scratch ‘n Save tickets are available at several locations:
“You can pick up the cards at the Iowa Great Lakes Area Chamber, or we will have them at any of the 20 participating businesses. You can see that list of businesses at okobojichamber.com, otherwise you can give us a call or check out our social media pages, as well.”
