(Spirit Lake)– The Spirit Lake High School Jazz Band has put the wraps on an outstanding competition season. The group earned 1st Place in Class 3A at the ILCC Jazz Contest as well as a Division I Rating at the IHSMA Jazz Band Contest in late January. Most recently, the band placed 1st in Class 3A at the NWIBA District Jazz Festival in LeMars. Their first place finish at District Jazz Band has earned them a place at the Iowa Jazz Championships which will take place in Ames on April 5th.
