(Milford)– Authorities are investigating a shooting that reportedly took place a little after 8:00 am this (Thurs.) morning at the parking lot of Grapetree Medical Staffing in Milford.
Initial reports from the scene indicated a woman sustained multiple gunshot wounds, and that some spent nine millimeter casings were found. There’s been no official word on her status.
We’ve learned a suspect in the case has been taken into custody. There’s no word as to the identity of that person or possible motive.
Grapetree Medical staffing, Okoboji schools and several businesses were placed in lockdown shortly after the incident. The lockdowns have since been lifted.
The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation is assisting in the ongoing investigation.
