(Sibley)– Osceola county is continuing its search for a new County Engineer. The position has been vacant for nearly two years now, and the county so far has had little success in attracting viable candidates for the job.
The Osceola County Board of Supervisors Tuesday voted to relax a requirement the engineer reside in the county. Under the revision, that person will have to live within 45 miles of the county.
County officials say they hope the move will attract more applicants for the position.
