(Spirit Lake)– Two people were injured in a snowmobile accident late Saturday afternoon straight out from the Parks Marina boat ramp on East Lake Okoboji.
The Iowa Department of Natural Resources says the operator lost control of the machine after hitting a mound of snow and ice, causing the snowmobile to go airborne. It then rolled upon landing.
The driver and a passenger, who’s names haven’t been released, were taken to a local hospital.
The incident took place around 5:30 pm.
