(Milford)– A two-vehicle collision late Sunday morning at the intersection of County Road A-34 and 230th Avenue just east of Milford sent two people to the hospital. The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office says 21-year-old Jeremiah Patten of Spirit Lake was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado westbound and was attempting to pass a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Ashford Williamson of Spirit Lake when the two collided. The vehicle driven by Patten went into the northwest ditch where it rolled at least three times before coming to rest on the passenger side. Deputies say Patten wasn’t wearing a seat belt and was ejected through the driver’s side window. Patten and a passenger in his vehicle, 19-year-old Kiela Pohl, were taken by ambulance to Lakes Regional Healthcare. No injuries were reported to Williamson.
Authorities say the collision is still under investigation.
The Milford Police Department, Milford Fire and Rescue, Iowa DNR and Dickinson County Communications Center assisted.
