(Spencer)– A new coordinator has been announced for the Northwest Iowa RSVP program in Clay county. Mary Schomaker began serving in that capacity today (Tuesday).
Schomaker has a long history of volunteering including Meals on Wheels, Relay For Life, Medicare enrollment, along with having served on church committees and as a regional leader for Girl Scouts of America. Prior to retirement Schomaker was an Administrative Secretary at Seasons Center in Spencer.
In her new role, Schomaker will coordinate current RSVP volunteers, recruit new volunteers, work with partner host sites and will oversee the RSVP Literacy Partners program with area schools.
