(Spirit Lake)– A proposal to annex 2,173 acres of land in Dickinson county and 2,367 acres in Osceola into Drainage District 15 near Lake Park is dead in the water. The Dickinson County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously this (Tues.) morning to drop those plans after hearing again from landowners in the two counties that would be affected who contended their land wouldn’t benefit by being a part of the district. The proposal was floated to try to address cleanout of a ditch that had accumulated silt.
