Milford Man Accused Of Having Controlled Substance On Him While Being Booked Into Jail

(Spencer)– A Milford man is accused of smuggling a controlled substance into the Clay county jail. Authorities say 26-year-old Jacob Wegner was being booked into jail on warrants early this (Tues.) morning when a jailer discovered Wegner allegedly had a controlled substance on his person. Along with the warrants, Wegner was additionally charged with introducing a controlled substance into a correctional facility. The charge is a class “D” felony.
