Major Fundraising Campaign Of YMCA Of The Okoboji’s Closing In On Its Goal

January 07, 2022 Steve Schwaller

(Spirit Lake)– A major fundraising campaign of the YMCA of the Okoboji’s is closing in further on its goal. CEO Andrew Fischer says their “Igniting a Healthy Legacy” campaign will play a vital role in their future endeavors to continue to enhance the quality of life in the Iowa Great Lakes…

“I think we could all do a good job of enticing anyone to come here during the summer, spring and fall, the winter which can be long here in northwest Iowa as we have all learned. We need to have these key amenities and resources to support our families and continue the high quality of living here in the Iowa Great Lakes. And so we talk about that campaign, it’s important for us to stay on the forefront of things and to look to the future for the organization. We’re at about 90 percent of the way to our campaign goal and if anyone would have interest in learning more about it you can find that information on ignite campaign-dot-com. If you even want to go to the Explore Okoboji website we have a banner on there as well. You can reach out to me here at the YMCA, the Bedell Family YMCA. Happy to engage with you on, maybe you want to designate a gift towards one of those key projects or sustainability for the organization.”

The campaign will also finance a major renovation of the aquatics center at the Bedell Family YMCA along with some major improvements planned at Camp Foster.
