(Arnolds Park)– A judge has dismissed a case that was intended to stop plans by the city of Arnolds Park and the state of Iowa to construct a board walk and trail in the Pillsbury Point area on West Lake Okoboji.
A group of about 40 people living in that area filed the petition in Dickinson County District Court in September of last year claiming the city had abandoned its rights along the trail’s path. The city of Arnolds Park argued otherwise and a judge agreed, ordering the case be dismissed in a ruling issued earlier this week.
The matter was scheduled to go to trial at the end of January 2023.
