(Sibley)– The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office has released details into a single vehicle crash this past Sunday that sent several people to the hospital.
Authorities say 41-year-old Birhanu Bedane of Wilber, Nebraska was driving a 2015 Ford Transit van southbound on Highway 60 when it started to slide as he was changing lanes. Bedane over-corrected, causing the vehicle to slide more. It veered off the road and went into the ditch where it rolled four times before coming to rest.
Bedane, four adult passengers and two juvenile passengers were all taken to the Osceola Regional Health Center by the Sibley and Ashton ambulances with varying injuries.
Damage to the vehicle was estimated at nearly $25,000.
The crash took place around 2:15 pm.
