(Spencer)– Additional police officers could be seen this (Fri.) morning in the hallways at Spencer High School.
An email statement from Superintendent Terry Heman says it stemmed from a rumored threat against the High School that was received by school officials Thursday evening. Heman says the matter was investigated by law enforcement and school staff. He adds an ACTUAL threat has NOT been made to Spencer High School or any other Spencer schools, but he says they opted to have the additional officers present anyway.
The statement goes on to say that Spencer schools are in session today (Friday) and that it’s safe to be at school.
