The Many Voices Choir will be performing their Holiday Concert at several locations this weekend.
Director Tim Schumacher says the choir will perform a variety of music:
“We’re in our 30th year of presenting a holiday program, a Christmas Advent program to the region here in the Lakes Area and further out. We are excited about our concert this year, it’s called In the Silence, and it poses some of the questions that we all probably think about, the wonderful meaning of Christmas. In this concert you’re going to hear familiar carols, you’re also going to hear some thought provoking tunes that we’ll present. The Many Voices Choir, as many of you know, is a community group. We have members from around the area, usually representing maybe 20 different communities around this area.”
He adds that the Choir will perform 3 concerts, starting with a performance this evening in Jackson:
“We have three concerts left on our schedule. One in Jackson on Thursday night, and that’s at 7:30 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church. We have two concerts on Saturday, December 4th, and our first concert that day will be at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Estherville at 1:30 in the afternoon, and our final concert of this series then will be at St. Mary’s Catholic Church on Saturday evening in Spirit Lake. That’s a 7:30 concert.”
A free will offering will be accepted at the performances.
