Nominations Being Sought For 2022 Winter Games Cheerleaders

(Arnolds Park)– The Iowa Great Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce is now accepting nominations for cheerleaders for the 2022 University of Okoboji Winter Games. Kiley Zankowski says it’s an easy process…

“This tradition has been going on since 1988, and we’re so excited to continue it. Every year eight individuals are selected to cheer all weekend long at Winter Games. They sport those bright colored letters loud and proud all weekend long and really represent our area. So nominations are open the entire month of December. You can head over to uofowintergames.com to learn more, but we do ask that all nominees are at least 18 years old and a Dickinson county resident. We think they should exhibit a ready smile, generous heart, enthusiasm for the U of O Campus and a sincere desire to give their time and talents to the Iowa Great Lakes Area. So it’s a great way to honor people for doing hard work and great things in our community. We encourage everyone to head over to our website and nominate someone today.”

Zankowski says the voting will be held in January, with more information on that to come.

She adds winter games apparel is also now available for purchase.

The U of O Winter Games presented by Grape Tree Medical Staffing will be held January 27th-30th, 2022.
