(Spirit Lake)– The Iowa Utilities Board has scheduled a series of public informational meetings for a second carbon dioxide pipeline being proposed to run through a number of northwest Iowa counties, including Dickinson. Midwest-based Navigator Heartland Greenway, LLC has proposed a nearly 1,300 mile pipeline through five states. Similar to the line proposed by Summit Carbon solutions, which would be a separate pipeline, the Navigator line would capture carbon dioxide at several facilities, convert it to a liquid, and then transport it through the pipeline to a sequestration facility.
The informational meeting for Dickinson county is set for Thursday, December 2nd at 12 Noon at the Dickinson County Community Center in Spirit Lake.
