(Estherville)– A traffic stop Sunday in Emmet county landed a West St. Paul, Minnesota man in jail.
The Emmet County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy on routine patrol on Highway 9 near Gruver pulled over a vehicle going 73 mph shortly after 3:30 am. An investigation resulted the department’s K-9 unit being deployed on the vehicle, resulting in deputies finding a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.
The driver, 31-year-old Thomas Lane, was arrested and booked into jail on charges of possession of a controlled substance…marijuana…2nd offense, possession of drug paraphernalia, operating a vehicle with no driver’s license, and speeding.
