November 15, 2021 Steve Schwaller

(Hospers)– One person was injured Friday when a semi collided with a building in Hospers.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office says 27-year-old Amir Salah of San Francisco, California was backing a 2015 Volvo semi-tractor pulling a freight trailer on a driveway at Premium Iowa Pork when the trailer struck a small building at the entrance to the facility. 52-year-old Donald Connor of Cherokee, an employee of Iowa Premium Pork, was in the building at the time. He was taken to the Orange City hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Damage to the semi trailer was estimated at $1,000 while the building sustained about $5,000 in damage.
