(Okoboji)– Republicans Thursday selected Dave Rowley as their candidate for the Senate District 1 seat during their nominating convention.
Rowley and fellow Republican Barbara Clayton were vying for the Republican nomination for the December 14th special election to fill the vacancy created with the recent resignation of Zach Whiting.
Rowley has been a resident of Spirit Lake the past 25 years and is an insurance agent. He is a former Dickinson County GOP chair and is President of the Independent Insurance Agents of Iowa. He attended the University of Iowa and has a B.A. In Psychology.
