(Estherville)-A Veteran’s Day program is on tap at Iowa Lakes Community College next week, KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has the story:

Iowa Lakes Community College will hold a Veteran’s Day Program on November 11.

Tim Ireland, Veteran Military Services Coordinator says, the program will include music and a keynote speaker. “On Veteran’s Day, from 11 o’clock to 12 o’clock, we’re going to have a guest speaker, Chief Master Sergeant, Retired Dan Lutat, Honor Guard from the Estherville VFW Post 3366 will be here, and Band and Choir under the direction of Carol Ayres and Brett Fuelberth will be providing musical entertainment as well. So, the program will last about an hour, and then, after the program’s over, all Veterans will receive a complimentary lunch at the school cafeteria in Estherville. The public’s invited. We’d like to actually pack the performance center.”

He adds that other campuses will honor Vets, as well. “Iowa Lakes campuses will also be honoring Veterans in the Emmetsburg, the Estherville and Spencer campuses by displaying honor trees. The Estherville, Emmetsburg and Spencer Student Senators will host a free meal over the lunch hour for Laker Veterans, including students, faculty and staff.”

The program in Estherville will be live streamed at iowalakes.edu
