State Representative John Wills says He will seek Reelection In 2022

November 03, 2021 Steve Schwaller

(Spirit Lake)– State Representative John Wills announced today (Wed.) he’ll be seeking reelection to the Iowa House in 2022…

“Well, back seven years ago when I first ran I had some specific things that I wanted to accomplish, and while we’ve accomplished a great deal of those issues, I still feel like I have a few things to do and some things that I want to accomplish over the next few years yet, and so just wanted to kind of put my name into the hat and say hey let’s, if you like where we’re going, if you like the direction that we’ve gone, let’s continue this movement that we’ve had and move in the right direction.”

Wills, who currently represents House District 1, will be running for the new House District 10…

“Well my old district went all the way over to Lyon county to the South Dakota border and so I’ve met a lot of friends and acquaintances and so, you know, I see them quite often and so I’m going to miss seeing them, I’m going to miss being over there and seeing those areas that I spent seven years developing and cultivating, but in the same sense the new district goes to the east. It goes basically down to Clay county, all of Palo Alto county and then a portion of Kossuth county. I don’t have a lot of contacts over there so I’m going to look forward to making new contacts, making new friends and acquaintances and really kind of getting to know what the issues and the desires over there are.”

The new House District 10 will consist of Dickinson and Palo Alto along with portions of northern Clay and western Kossuth counties.
