(Spirit Lake)– The Dickinson County Board of Supervisors today (Tues.) heard a presentation from Andrew Fisher, CEO of the YMCA of the Okoboji’s, regarding their “Igniting a Healthy Legacy Campaign”. As we reported previously, the campaign would fund improvements at Camp Foster YMCA in addition to a renovation of the aquatics facility at the Bedell Family YMCA, along with establishing an endowment for future projects.
Fisher told the supervisors they remain on target to complete the campaign early in the upcoming year…
The supervisors voted unanimously in favor of issuing a letter of support to assist with the Y’s grant application with the Enhance Iowa, or Community Attraction and Tourism program.
Fisher told the supervisors they have just about a quarter of the $6.5 million goal left to raise.
